I'm not (usually) a wrap your legs around your ears Yogi. Nor am I the "Let's just do a quick 50 left-handed fingertip push-ups" practitioner.  (I'd be lying if I said I don't have an eye on that prize, though - you've gotta have goals.) With the exception of a few years of my life, I have always been a mover. I learned young to love the feel of moving my body.

I love to move but I REALLY love to teach, learn, and help others move and feel their best. I am fascinated by the minutiae of movement and seek to pass the joy of attention to these details to students and clients. I'm a 200 RYT Yoga and a Certified Fletcher Pilates teacher. I continue to study with master teachers and endlessly seek new knowledge on the practices, the body, and Yogic spirituality. In addition to master teacher studies, I take classes from other brilliant Yogis and Pilates instructors, hike, bike, occasionally run, hang with my son and husband, and tend to our menagerie of animals.

I've taught Yoga at Barefoot Studios, YMCA Northwest, Ventana/Roche, LA Fitness, and Desert Palms Physical Therapy; and Pilates at Desert Palms and Sage Therapeutic Pilates. I've also traveled to trusted clients homes for private sessions. I own a PR firm called Spur Public Relations that has basically become an outlet for freelance writing. Prior to hanging my own shingle, I worked as a technical writer, a proprietary software user manual writer, and desktop publisher for a missile manufacturer. I later became a PR coordinator at a biotech company then served as the Director of PR at Visit Tucson.

It's been a winding path, and I feel I am serving the world the way I should be. Yet, I'm open to that path taking other twists and turns.

Thank you for making me part of your journey. I look forward to knowing you better and sharing what I've learned from some incredibly brilliant and wise masters of the practices. Please never hesitate to reach out and ask questions.  E-mail me.
